Serving Georgetown and the surrounding community since 1938.

Welcome to the Georgetown Public Library
Enriching the community with knowledge, resources, and lifelong learning.
Our Mission
The Georgetown Library connects the community with books, digital resources, and programs for all ages. We offer yearbooks since 1920, local cemetery records for genealogy, and works by over 12 Vermilion County authors. Our collection includes books, DVDs, audiobooks, and even classic Emilie Loring titles from 1938.
Patrons can access digital books with a library card. We host preschool and summer reading programs, a monthly book club, and special events with the University of Illinois Extension Office.

Events
The Georgetown Library provides programs for various age groups, including preschool reading and an Adult Book Club.
